New Dress Code At Siddhivinayak Temple : Dress code has been implemented for devotees in Mumbai’s famous Siddhivinayak temple from today. Under this new system, entry will not be allowed in the temple wearing skirts, torn clothes and revealing dresses.
Devotees have welcomed the decision of Siddhivinayak temple administration. Devotees who reached the temple for darshan on Thursday morning said that this is a good decision.
Devotee Pushpa, who came to visit the temple, said that I support the decision of the temple administration. If we follow Hindu culture, then we should also respect the gods and goddesses. Dress code system is already in place in Gurudwara, Dargah and Church.
If a person goes to Gurudwara, he cannot go inside without covering his head. When going to church and dargah, one is asked to follow the rules. Similar system should be there in Hindu temples as well. I am with the decision of the temple administration.
I would appeal to everyone to come to the temple to have darshan wearing clothes related to Indian culture.
Devotee Jayshree Desai said that in today’s time, it is very important to implement a dress code system in the temple.
The craze for other clothes has increased a lot among the youth. Therefore, the decision to implement a dress code for the devotees visiting the temple is right.
Earlier, Acharya Pawan Tripathi, treasurer of Siddhivinayak Temple Trust, had explained the reason for implementing the dress code.
He had said, Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai is a major center of faith not only in India but also for Sanatani and Ganesh devotees around the world.
Lakhs of people come here for darshan and the wishes of the devotees coming here are fulfilled. But, when people visit a holy place, it is necessary to follow some rules there, so that the sanctity of that place is maintained.
This decision has been taken on the basis of suggestions from devotees visiting the temple. Many devotees had expressed concern about the dress of some devotees while visiting the temple
