Government Employees Rejoice: 9% DA Hike, Extra Salary for 1.5 Lakh in this state

Big news for government employees : Finally, the Madhya Pradesh government has increased the dearness allowance (DA) of about 40 thousand employees and 1 lakh employees of the corporation board who are getting the 6th pay scale.

The Finance Department has issued its orders. The DA of regular employees getting the 6th pay scale has been increased to 239% with a 9% increase, while the DA of corporation-board employees has been increased by 11%, which has now increased to 302%.

These employees have been given the benefit of the increase in DA from 1 January 2024. The arrears for January to September 30 will be paid in four equal instalments in December 2024, January, February, and March 2025.

DA of 40 thousand employees increased

The government has increased the 4% DA of employees receiving 7th pay scale on 28 October. In this sequence, the DA of 40 thousand employees getting 6th pay scale has also been increased.

The DA of these employees has increased from 9% to 239%; the employees were being given 230% DA from July 2023.

At the same time, between January 1 and September 30, 2024, a lump sum amount of arrears will be paid to the dependent members of retired or deceased employees.

302% DA to Corporation Board employees

The DA of about 1 lakh employees working in the corporation and board receiving the fourth and fifth pay scales has also been increased from 1 January 2024. The DA of employees getting the fifth pay scale has increased by 11% from 291% to 302%.

At the same time, the DA of employees getting the fourth pay scale has increased by 40% to 1385%. These employees were being paid 13.45% DA from July 2023.
