The new platform will be an electric skateboard platform, with the wheels placed at the corners and the battery placed in the floorboard. This helps in creating space for the occupants inside the cabin.

The proposed battery pack is expected to be around 60 kWh and the claimed range is around 550 kilometres. It is also likely that Maruti Suzuki will offer a smaller battery pack with lesser range, which means it will be more affordable.
